Sassafras in Autumn
The Sassafras Sassafras albidum, a North American native, is a blaze of colour at the end of April.
According to Medbury's records (1986: 174) the present tree is a sucker that appeared about 1960 from a specimen planted in 1951. Read more - or add your comments and photos - in the archive Kete Pukeura
